Witchbrook's native PC requirements are for Windows 10 or later, with a 64-bit processor and operating system. The announced release date is January 28, 2027. Its minimum specification includes 8 GB RAM, a quad-core CPU and a DirectX 11-compatible video card with at least 4 GB VRAM.
The official Steam product is the direct source for checking the Windows configuration. A listing for a console or Steam Deck does not replace those PC requirements.
Published minimum specification
| Component | Minimum requirement |
|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10+, 64-bit only |
| Processor | Quad-core CPU; 64-bit processor required |
| System memory | 8 GB RAM |
| Graphics | DirectX 11-compatible video card with at least 4 GB VRAM |
| DirectX | Version 11 |
| Storage | 2 GB available space |
Compare all of the fields with your machine, rather than using the art style or the small storage requirement to assume the game will run. The CPU field does not name a specific Intel or AMD model, clock speed or generation, so “quad-core” alone cannot establish performance for every four-core processor.
The graphics field has two parts: DirectX 11 compatibility and at least 4 GB VRAM. The system-memory figure of 8 GB is a separate requirement. Having 8 GB of ordinary RAM does not by itself demonstrate that a machine meets the listed graphics-memory requirement.
The storage field asks for available space on PC. Nintendo's separately published 1.2 GB estimated game size describes a different product and should not be substituted into this table.
A minimum specification is not a benchmark
The recommended section currently adds only the 64-bit processor and operating-system note. It does not give a more detailed recommended CPU, GPU or memory target.
Consequently, there is no supported named GPU upgrade, graphics preset or frame-rate prediction to derive from that section. The minimum fields establish the published entry requirements, while measured performance on a particular laptop or desktop remains a different question.
This also matters for integrated graphics and shared-memory systems. The listing does not supply a tested equivalence between those configurations and its video-card requirement. A machine-specific result would need more than matching a single RAM number.
Inputs, language and the interface
Steam lists full controller support for Xbox and PlayStation controllers. It also lists Single-player, Online Co-op, Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud. The cooperative game supports up to four players in total.
Witchbrook involves reading and navigating a knowledge collection, researching in library books and handling written requests from residents. These interfaces are part of the actual play experience, rather than optional background text.

The PC knowledge collection, with a discovered creature's information panel open. It illustrates the interface without measuring hardware performance.
The ten listed interface languages are English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean and Russian. Full controller support and localisation are separate from a handheld compatibility rating or full voice-acting confirmation.

The business request panel shows item and address information used for deliveries. This PC preview is not a hardware benchmark.
Steam and PC Game Pass are different access choices
The Steam product is app 1846700, developed by Chucklefish and Robotality and published by Chucklefish. It is currently unreleased, with a wishlist option and no verified public demo download.
Witchbrook also appears in Xbox's day-one group for Ultimate and PC Game Pass. That provides another advertised PC access route, rather than ownership of the Steam product. Do not assume that saves or online sessions move between stores simply because both offer the same game on PC.
For an online group, establish the versions involved before buying. Online co-op does not establish universal crossplay, and the currently published features do not provide a complete cross-store pairing or transfer table.
Windows support does not establish every PC operating system
A native Mac version has not been announced. The developer's April 2025 Mac reply said there were no plans at that time, and the current requirement remains Windows.
Steam Deck compatibility is currently Unknown. A Deck's hardware specifications and the game's controller support cannot replace its unfinished Steam compatibility review. Treat native Windows requirements, macOS availability and SteamOS/Proton suitability as separate checks for the device you intend to use.
