Yes. Russian is confirmed as a Witchbrook launch language. Russian and Korean were announced in the August 12, 2026 home update, and Russian appears in the current game-wide information and Steam, Nintendo and PlayStation product details. The announced release date is January 28, 2027.
The practical qualification is that Steam marks Russian in the Interface column. That confirms interface localisation; it does not announce a Russian dub.
What changed from the earlier language list
Older development discussions listed eight languages and encouraged wishlisting to help the team assess demand for more. That is no longer the complete language position.
The August update explicitly added Russian and Korean. At that point, the localisation teams had already been working on the project, and the studio had submitted its final large batch of in-game text to translators. The current launch list contains ten languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
Consequently, a Russian-speaking player does not need to treat Russian as only a requested future possibility. It is part of the announced launch support.
Read the language columns accurately
On Witchbrook's Steam product, Russian has a check in the Interface column. The full-audio and subtitle columns do not supply a voice-acting confirmation.
| Information | Current meaning |
|---|---|
| Russian in the launch language list | Russian localisation is announced |
| Russian Interface check on Steam | Interface support is listed |
| No Russian full-audio confirmation | A Russian dub has not been established |
| Russian listed on Nintendo and PlayStation | The language is not described only as a PC-community request |
A list of languages and a promise of full voice acting would be different features. Similarly, the presence of Russian does not establish that every translated line has already been independently reviewed or that a particular translation-quality verdict is available.
Why text comprehension matters in Witchbrook
College progression depends on gathering knowledge and applying it. You consult residents, research solutions in library books and use what you learn to complete practical work. The knowledge collection gradually records information rather than immediately revealing every detail when you discover something.
Outside study, written business requests include the goods a resident wants and where to deliver them. Conversations and personal stories also matter when developing friendships or romance with covenmates.

An English-language PC knowledge entry shows the kind of information used in study. It is not a sample of the Russian translation.
These are concrete reasons to check the language field before choosing a version. They do not require a claim that the game is fully voiced or a fabricated Russian dialogue sample.
Choose a supported product without confusing language and region
Russian is listed in the current Steam, Nintendo and PlayStation information, while the game-wide launch announcement repeats the same ten-language support. Use the product for the actual platform you intend to play.
Language support does not, by itself, establish a product's sale availability, payment method or price in a particular country. Those are regional storefront questions, separate from whether Russian is included in the game.
